Tricia

Before FP, I had always been a big time athlete. I swam competitively growing up. I am a former Division I rower. And I have been doing CrossFit and Olympic Lifting for years prior needing to take a break due to medical issues for Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.

So far, I have less pain and feel more solid in my body. My posture is better, and I’m learning how to walk using my body properly. It’s interesting bc FP is so different! I am used to pounding out five thousand yards in the pool during high school, 20K meters on a rowing machine, or pushing for new 1 rep maxes in CrossFit. FP is different bc you are working in smaller ranges of motion and addressing structure in your everyday movement patterns. So you can move better and feel better.

It’s crazy to see the improvement I’ve made in 21 sessions over 6 months without having to kill myself physically in the process. The assessment process was thorough. After taking time off from working out due to medical issues, it was rough having to take so many pictures at first. However, I’m so glad that is required bc you really can see the changes and improvements you make over time! And it’s been great working with Annie bc she listens to what I’m feeling in my body, and we can make adjustments with the help of pictures and videos along the way.”
