My fitness journey started in my senior year of high school. I was overweight, non athletic, self conscious, and I wanted to change. The next 5 years consisted of trying everything I could. Each new workout method I found I would try. From random Instagram coaches, to yoga classes, cycling, CrossFit, calisthenics, and everything in between. My passion for wanting to know the best way to approach fitness even led me to pursue a bachelors degree in exercise and sport science.

In my junior year of college I was doing the latest fitness trend on Instagram. It seemed to be working well… so I thought. After a year of doing it, I saw an FP post calling out this method I was doing for its limitations.. and so I quit. As soon as I did, I started to experience pain. My knees, hips, and low back felt unstable and weak. I knew what I had to do. Ever since then I have been strictly training Functional Patterns. Out of the many methods of fitness I’ve tried, FP has been the easiest yet most rewarding to stick to by far. Since training Functional Patterns I am the most athletic I have been my whole life. FP showed me what real health and confidence feels like and it’s too good not to want and help others find the same.
