Katie

Katie, age 43, has lived many years with chronic pain and is now on the path towards regeneration. Her shin splint pain started during high school track and field and never went away. Working as a restaurant server, she was on her feet for several hours at a time, resulting in painful and sore shins. She also had lower back pain which she attributed to her hips never feeling stable. Additionally, in her 20s Katie started experiencing intermittent knee achiness which she noticed when she was resting and sleeping. Her pain levels were 5/10 when she first started. Katie has improved her hip and knee stability, and reduced jarring of her hips. She feels better at work and able to move more easily; She no longer gets shin splints and her knee achiness is gone. Her lower back pain sometimes returns, but she knows how to apply FP correctives and can get her pain to go away.

Katie's testimonial: "I found Functional Patterns after having tried every kind of modality including integrated physical therapy, chiropractic care, rolfing, and craniosacral for painful issues such as shin splints, knee, and lower back pain. I've had more success with FP than I could have believed! FP is definitely worth doing because once you educate your body on how it's supposed to be aligned then even if something feels off, your body will remind you how to get back into a better position. I still have improvements to make but even if I feel that my back may start to bother me, I remember to stand correctly and my pain goes away. My default is changing and FP has given me tools to know what to do to continue to make that change for myself." (Before June 3, 2022 // After Nov 28, 2022.)
